Describe the two ways to perform an upgrade of NetWare.
What will be an ideal response?
There are two ways to perform an upgrade: through in-place migration and through across-the-wire migration. In-place migration involves shutting down the NetWare server to perform the upgrade directly on the machine. Across-the-wire migration transfers all NetWare files from the current server to a new machine attached to the network. The new machine must already be running NetWare 4.x or above. This method allows the older 3.1x server to continue running during the upgrade.
