The Puritans where a group of both Presbyterians and Congregationalist. They believed in John Calvin. They deplored the hierarchy of bishops. They helped with the spreading of the congregations. Most of them that traveled on the Mayflower had gotten sick and a lot died trying to reach their destination. By the spring half died due to lack of food and sickness. They arrived and established Plymouth in the village of Patuxent. They are plentiful in New England. Withers the low death and high birth rates the Puritans doubled ever 27 years. This in turn impacted colonial America.
