What will be an ideal response?

Answer:
All needles are either straight or curved. They are classified according to the components: the point, the body or shaft and the eye. The point of the needle may be cutting, tapered or blunt and is used according to the tissue being sutured. The body can be rounded, triangular, rectangular, or trapezoidal. They vary in length and shape depending on the tissue they are required to penetrate, the body of the needle also relates to how securely the needle can be grasped within the needle holder. If the tissue being penetrated is tough, the body of the needle needs to be securely held within the needle holder as some force is required to penetrate the tough tissue. The eye of the needle may be able to be threaded or it may be atraumatic, with the thread already attached
