Quid pro quo sexual harassment is actual or threatened use of professional or academic rewards and/or punishments to gain sexual compliance from a subordinate or student.
Hostile environment sexual harassment is a pattern of unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that interferes with a person’s ability to perform a job or gain education and/or that creates a hostile, intimidating or offensive working environment.
