Explain the relationship between power and class. In other words, what role do political power and voice play in the reproduction of class differences?

What will be an ideal response?

The affluent can use their wealth and other resources to support a particular political candidate or outcome. Legislation and political decisions reflect the interests of the wealthy, rather than the poor or those with less economic power and thus political power. They also have the power to shape media representation of the poor--for example, the "welfare queen" trope. Class is then reproduced as a political structure that keeps the affluent, affluent, and the poor, poor. Could cite specific legislation or political decisions such as Citizens United, Wall Street regulations, or bank and automotive bailouts.
