How do the beliefs, values, and perspectives of White, middle-class America affect students of color?
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: For example, they dominate our culture, while not necessarily portraying accurate, positive images and views of people of color. Thus, students do not see others like themselves. Additionally, their culture and learning styles may not be of value in the classroom. And, because of the differences in cultures, students of color are at a disadvantage trying to gain an education and then employment in a culture foreign to many of them.
