What is a speech of dedication? Imagine a situation that would require such a speech. Describe the occasion, then identify the steps you would take in presenting your speech

What will be an ideal response?

A speech of dedication is designed to give some specific meaning to a new project – a public facility, construction site, store opening, recreation area, groundbreaking, etc. It takes some research on the project itself, and is usually given at a rather formal occasion. Several steps can be taken in the dedication speech: 1) State the reason for the speech – be precise, and include your connection to it; 2) Explain exactly what is being dedicated – give its full name and describe its exact purpose; 3) Note who is responsible for the project – who designed, constructed, and paid for it; 4) Explain why the project is significant – note its relevance, importance, or benefits to listeners.
