The present Juvenile Act provides that the family court has jurisdiction over juveniles who (1) habitually disobey the proper control of their custodian; (2) repeatedly desert their home without proper reason; (3) associate with persons who have a criminal tendency or are of immoral character, or are immoral persons, or frequent places of dubious reputation; and (4) habitually act so as to injure or endanger their own morals or those of others, provided that from their character or environment there is a strong likelihood that the juveniles involved will become offenders.
