The emergency response component of the safety and health plan/program has at least two critical elements. Explain both of them
What will be an ideal response?
Fire
All employees at all job sites will be trained in fire protection procedures and response. The firefighting equipment necessary for each specific job site will be readily available and properly maintained. Emergency telephone numbers will be conspicuously posted.
Job Site Evacuation
In the event it becomes necessary to evacuate a job site, a loud continuous siren will be used to alert employees. The location of the "safe area" where personnel should collect for a headcount will be conspicuously posted and made known to all employees. Supervisors will be responsible for conducting a headcount of their direct reports at the safe area.
