Describe the characteristics of a blunt force injury

A blunt-force injury is caused by a non-sharpened object such a bat or pipe. A blunt-force injury can abrade, or scrape, tissue. If tissue is crushed by a blunt force to the point of causing skin to overstretch, a laceration will form, characterized by the skin splitting and tearing.
