Discuss the differences between a "victim-centered" response and an "offender-centered" response to a case of sexual assault

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Whereas an offender-center response has as its primary objective the apprehension of the suspect, the victim-centered response is first and foremost centered on the welfare of the victim. Thus, the officer's first actions are to facilitate medical/ psychological care for the victim before having the victim replay the events in detail, participate in lineups, revisit the scene of the attack, etc.
