What are two major provisions of the Affordable Care Act that require state action or at least permit the states to act?
What will be an ideal response?
The first is the development of insurance exchanges. States can run their own exchange and set some of their own procedures for its operation. Second was state expansion of Medicaid coverage to a larger proportion of the population so that people for whom minimal insurance would be a problem would be able to have some coverage. The federal government agreed to pay almost all the costs of expanding the program through 2020.
