Confrontations take place when an offender demands money or property from the victim through verbal demands. Blitzes are when the offender uses violence first to gain compliance of the victim. Cons are when the offender uses a distraction first to surprise the victim with the demand. Snatch thefts are when there is no communication or interaction. Rather, the thief grabs the property he wants and flees. Convenience store robbers either take the straight approach or the customer approach.
