Why does the United States give foreign aid? What are at least two reasons why some countries receive more than others? What are at least two arguments against U.S. foreign aid?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers should discuss some of the reasons for U.S. foreign aid allocations, which include humanitarian interests, strategic and military interests, economic market interests (such as trade), and political views (such as democratic values). Answers should identify Iraq, Israel, Egypt, Russia, and the other top countries for the year discussed. Arguments against foreign aid could include the importance of trade rather than aid, the need to solve domestic problems first, and the difficulty of improving conditions in any country overseas.
