Explain other reasons why intimate partner abuse in the LGBT community may not be acknowledged by victims
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: The LGBT community has been discriminated against for decades in this country. The social acceptance in mainstream America has been a more recent accomplishment, with many states recognizing this relationship as a legitimate form of union and marriage. Reporting incidents of abuse by their significant others could be construed by some to the cause that it would undermine the perception of a positive lifestyle.
