Briefly discuss the new requirement regarding the disconnecting means of transformers.
What will be an ideal response?
There is a new requirement that all transformers are required to have a disconnecting means, and if the disconnecting means is not located within sight of the transformer, it is required to be of a type that can be locked in the open position. There is an additional requirement that the location of the disconnecting means must be labeled on the transformer at the time of transformer installation.

1. Traditional meters that have a pointer moving across the face of a scale (similar to the speedometer in many cars) are classified as analog meters. 2. Most electrical measuring devices, from panel meters for permanent installations to portable test instruments, have made use of analog scales. 3. The DMM (dialog multimeter) directly displays the numerical results of a measurement. 4. It is customary to use fractions rather than common decimals to record the values of meter readings. 5. The range of a meter is the maximum amount of the instrument at full-scale deflection.

During a starter current draw test, the current draw is more than specified, and the cranking speed and battery voltages are less than specified. The cause of this problem may be:
a. worn bushings in the starter motor. b. high resistance in the field windings. c. high resistance in the battery positive cable. d. a burned solenoid disc and terminals.
