Droughts continue to be more common in America over time. What are three of the four types of droughts? Explain what each term means. Which one would be of most concern to social workers?
What will be an ideal response?
Meteorological droughts involve a departure from normal precipitation. Agricultural droughts occur when the moisture in the soil does not sustain a particular crop region. Hydrological droughts relate to surface or subsurface water supplies dropping to subnormal levels. Socioeconomic droughts happen when water shortages have an impact on people. The last would be of biggest concern to social workers.
