Describe the difference between paraphrasing and reflection of feeling.

What will be an ideal response?

Paraphrasing is used to assure a client that he is actually being heard; the interviewer typically restates the content of a client’s comments using similar language. A reflection of feeling echoes a client’s emotions; reflections of feeling are intended to make a client feel that his emotions are recognized, even if his comments did not explicitly include labels of his feelings.
