A student might choose the audience, and how the language choices shape their overarching message and the manuscript style. The student might then explain how they should focus on the audience and determine who the primary and secondary audiences are as well as addressing clarity in writing. The student would next explain how language choices shape the overarching message, perhaps explain how to use language sensitively through people first language, and what pronouns and point of view would be best for their study. Finally, the student would explain how APA style is important in the way they write their paper and how to follow these standards to minimize bias.
