What is phytoremediation and why is it used?

What will be an ideal response?

This is the use of plants to clean up contaminated air, water, and soil. There are about
350 known species of plants that remove toxins. Phytoremediation can therefore be a safer and
less costly form of bioremediation, because the plants occur naturally and they are not toxic.
