What will be an ideal response?

John Dewey was a brilliant professional educator born in Burlington Vermont in 1859 who proposed a number of educational beliefs and techniques that were quite different from those around him. Central to his belief was the concept of experiential learning or learning through doing and experience. Dewey believed this process was life-long and allowed an individual to experience intellectual growth in a variety of social contexts. The concepts of thinking and reflection also have connections to John Dewey. The ideal or concept that people learned from their interactions with the environment had not been widely considered during this time frame. These philosophies carried over into the manufacturing environment and influenced how on-the-job training was conducted. Dewey is considered by many to be the father of modern education. He graduated from the University of Vermont in 1879 with a bachelor degree and later, John Hopkins University with a Ph.D
