Compare THC and CBD.

What will be an ideal response?

THC is the primary active ingredient in marijuana. It is a partial agonist for cannabinoid receptors, resulting in feelings of anxiety, paranoia, and psychotic-like behavior (in large doses). CBD, on the other hand, is a derivative of marijuana that is actually a cannabinoid receptor antagonist that is anti-anxiety and antipsychotic. It does not produce psychotropic effects, it is not reinforcing, and it does not produce a "high."
