What effect does death have on a contract that has already been formed?

Death does not terminate a contract already formed before the death of either one of the parties. A legally binding contract exists. A representative of the deceased party would be obligated to carry out the contract according to its original terms. (The one exception to this rule would be a contract involving a personal services contract.)
