Explain the foundations of person-environment theories of aging

P-E theories of aging focus on the idea that any change in characteristics of either the person or the environment is likely to produce a change in that person's behavior. Murray's theory of personality, that the individual is in dynamic interaction with his/her setting, is an example of this model.
