Explain why Mr. G had leg cramps and explain what he could do to prevent them

Mr. G had leg cramps while he was taking Lasix. His kidneys were functioning at that time. Lasix causes K to be excreted via the kidneys and blood K values drop. A symptom of decreasing K is leg cramps. Bananas and/or orange juice taken daily can help prevent this. If not, K supplements can be prescribed.
