Discuss fertility and fecundity.

What will be an ideal response?

Two terms used to measure childbearing are fertility (the ability to produce children) and fecundity (difficulty conceiving or bringing a pregnancy to term). In this context, fecundity refers to the potential production of children while fertility refers to the actual production of children. Fertility declines with age, with the most fertile years for women occurring in their 20s.
