Give several reasons why it may not be useful to store logically contiguous pages from a process’s virtual memory space in physically contiguous areas on secondary storage.

What will be an ideal response?

Unless the system uses block paging techniques where it pages several pages at a time
in the form of one block, it will not realize significant gains by placing the pages contiguously.
Another reason is that on multiuser virtual storage systems, the disk tends to become fragmented,
so creating the virtual space in the described manner could require compaction, and
this may not be desirable. Also, virtual spaces tend to be dynamic, so such compaction would
need to be performed frequently.
