Differentiate a swamp from a marsh
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: These are on flat landscapes covered by shallow water at least part of the year. Water-tolerant plants dominate the landscape. A swamp is where trees dominate and a marsh is where grasses dominate. Swamps and marshes are common to coastal plains and in places where ponds and lakes are starting to fill in.
