How is a social movement different from an interest group? From a political party?

What will be an ideal response?

Social movements have a looser organizational structure than interest groups and represent people who are outside of formal institutions, seek major changes to the status quo, and use noninstitutional strategies of action. Unlike a political party, a movement does not seek to hold formal political power, although occasionally a social movement will produce a party.
