What would happen to a person whose suprarenal glands are destroyed or removed?

What will be an ideal response?

The suprarenal cortex secretes more than two dozen different corticosteroid hormones, some of which are essential
for life. Without supplements of these hormones, the person would quickly die. Others are less vital, but all
corticosteroids exert their effects by determining which genes are transcribed in the nuclei of their target cells and at
what rates, thereby affecting many metabolic operations. The suprarenal medulla secretes epinephrine and
norepinephrine, which facilitate adrenergic effects throughout the body; the person would also suffer from the lack
of these hormones, although the sympathetic division of the ANS would still produce small quantities of the same
chemicals as neurotransmitters.
