(Each student would give their own example that would reflect the two stages.) When I was
younger I wanted to be a veterinarian. By middle school, I wasn't that interested in science though
and my grades were not that great in either scienceor math. I liked babysitting and working with kids
who were younger than me so I decided to go to college to become an elementary school teacher. That
is my major.
