Describe the techniques used to verify esophageal placement of an orogastric tube

What will be an ideal response?

Confirmation of tube placement in neonatal animals requires palpation. To confirm tube placement, palpate the left cranial one-third of the neck approximately 4 inches from the mandible. As it is easiest to palpate the tube end when it is in motion, the technician can palpate while gently moving the tube up and down.
