Why don't we have chemical controls for minor turfgrass diseases?

What will be an ideal response?

Research by chemical companies and universities has not been done to show what chemicals are effective. Companies are reluctant to get costly data to support efficacy and toxicity data when the potential market for sales is small. Many minor diseases, however, are kept well in check by cultural practices and fungicides used to manage major turfgrass diseases.
