As the deadline for TIMS implementation approaches, we need to agree on an installation plan.
Jill Martin and I will provide hands-on training for all SCR staff members who will be supporting the TIMS project. We also will be working with the Systems Group to move our current test environment to the operational environment. This task will include data conversion, loading the live data, and installing the system on client workstations.
All system functions performed in the test environment have run successfully, so we are looking for a smooth (students should insert here their choice of changeover method) changeover.
Be sure to check your e-mail several times each day. The training schedule will be posted later this week, and I’ll need to know immediately if there are conflicts with your assigned training times. The grand finale is about to begin.
With regard to the training plan, students should be able to identify the groups by reviewing the SCR Functions and Organizations document in SCR’s Data Library. This document lists the various groups, the people assigned to each group, and a brief explanation of the areas covered by the group. Students then can use a chart or worksheet to schedule the training.
