What will be an ideal response?
Expository writing and argumentative writing are similar in that they both are presenting information and explanations, but they are different in that expository writing is for the purpose of explaining and informing and argumentative writing has as its goal persuading, convincing, and changing readers. Expository writing assumes that a truth or best practice is known or accepted by readers, while argument assumes that a truth or best practice is not believed or accepted by readers.
