For each of the following multiprocessor organizations, describe an environment in which the organization is useful; also, list a drawback for each.


This organization is useful in most environments (and is in fact employed in most environments) because it provides strong fault tolerance and resource sharing. A drawback is that operating systems which manage symmetrical organizations are more difficult to implement.
