Describe the features of hybrid models of evaluation

What will be an ideal response?

Consistent and relevant evaluation can be difficult to achieve in many service settings. One method of evaluating client progress incorporates measures of outcome, satisfaction, and progress, and can be administered in 2 to 3 minutes. The client-oriented, outcome-informed tools, such as the Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS; Duncan, 2012), capture feedback through brief questions at the outset and conclusion of each session. The PCOMS has been scientifically validated and is well endorsed for practical utility in a variety of service settings (Duncan, 2012).
The Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) is administered at the beginning of each session. Clients are instructed to indicate with a mark on a line how well they have been doing over the previous week in regard to personal well-being, family and social relationships, and overall well-being. On the Session Rating Scale (SRS), at the end of each session, clients mark their responses on a continuum between two statements such as "I did not feel heard, understood, and respected" and "I did feel heard, understood, and respected" or "The therapist's approach is not a good fit for me" and "The therapist's approach is a good fit for me." The full instruments are available online, in children's versions, and in more than a dozen languages (Heart and Soul of Change Project, 2015). The findings can be incorporated into the work of the session and can also be tracked over time to measure client progress and encourage retention in services.
