Various types of problem-solving courts have been found to be successful in reducing recidivism among participants. How can these problem-solving courts have a bigger impact on the entire judicial system?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary. Students should make reference to the fact that these drugs courts utilize diversion, treatment, and other alternative tactics to prevent worse overcrowding problems in the prisons and "revolving door" issues. They should consider the success of these courts as compared to the more traditional courts and hypothesize on what some of the results could be if the traditional courts were to apply drug court tactics.
