Cognitive strategy instruction integrates ideas from behavioral, social, and cognitive learning theories and assumes that cognitive behavior can be changed.
In social learning theory, teachers discuss what they are learning and how they are going about learning. Such interactive dialog between teachers and learners provides language models and tools for guiding one's inner talk about learning.
