The ADEA is an interesting act. Just because one gets older does not necessarily mean that one is less talented athletically. However, it is possible that one might successfully sue for age discrimination if the

If an “older” athlete is terminated, this is usually due to cost-cutting measures or reasons related to physical prowess rather than purely age.
