According to this movement, women value life, equality, harmony, nurturance, and peace, which cannot thrive in a capitalist, patriarchal society. The movement’s power to change the culture is limited by its adherents sequestering themselves from mainstream communities and by not assuming a public voice for their critiques of the culture.
