List activities that help children understand large numbers

What will be an ideal response?

Complete answers will list the following activities: number names, writing consecutive numbers, magnitude of numbers, and counting to a thousand and beyond. When naming numbers, it is recognized that 11, 12, 13, etc. to 19 are more difficult to sequence correctly. Prepared charts can help children write numbers in an organized way. Comparing number is a way to assess their understanding of the magnitude of numbers. Counting to a thousand and beyond helps children develop the relative size of numbers.
