Describe at least two concepts that can be applied when numbering the wires on the ladder diagram of a motor control circuit?

What will be an ideal response?

1. No two wires can have the same number.
2. No single wire can have more than one number.
3. Wires that junction, but do not pass through a control circuit component, remain the same number.
4. Wires before the first component in a rung are not numbered because they are L1, and wires after the load normally are not numbered, because they are L2 (even when they still pass through the overload unit contacts).
5. Wire numbers are generally assigned from the lower numbers to the higher numbers; from the top left-hand side of the ladder diagram, to the bottom right-hand side.
