What is the underlying concern about external validity?

What will be an ideal response?

The underlying concern about external validity is that the epidemiology (distribution and determinants) of health and disease often varies in populations that are diverse or different from each other.  These health differences may only depend on very basic population attributes, such as age, or more complicated factors such culture, socioeconomic status, geography, or genetics.
