Describe the Mapp v. Ohio ruling. How did the ruling impact the juvenile justice system?

What will be an ideal response?

In 1961, Mapp v. Ohio introduced the exclusionary rule, which stated that evidence seized without a proper search warrant (and probable cause, indicating that a crime has been committed) could not be used in court against adults accused of criminal offenses. Furthermore, based on the Mapp ruling, in State v. Lowery applied the ban against unreasonable search and seizure to juveniles. The court ruled that New Jersey juveniles must be presented with a search warrant before their person or their home could be searched, unless the juvenile waived this right or was caught in a criminal offense.
