Answer: The United States has the Constitution because in the begining the Articles of Confederation didn't work for their old government, so they needed to build a new government, which is the constitution.The role it plays in everyday US society is that without it we wouldn't have the laws we have today, or the branches, which are the judiciary, legislative, and executive branches, and government wouldn't work the way it does today.
