A performance interview is usually conducted on an annual basis to review employee performance. This type of interview usually involves a supervisor addressing both the positive and negative aspects of an employee’s performance. Exit interviews are conducting when an employee is departing an organization and is used to hopefully gain information about the employee’s experiences while working with the company. The benefits for conducting these interviews is to create an open line of communication between supervisors and employees about job performance and the good and bad aspects about the job. The interview findings can then be used to better employee work performance or the work environment.
