Describe the appearance of chinch bug nymphs and adults
What will be an ideal response?
Both nymphs and adults are small, flattened insects. Adults are about one-fifth inch long and black and white with wings that extend to the end of the abdomen or half way down the abdomen. Nymphs are smaller than the adults and vary from red to white in young nymphs and from orange to brown as they get older and larger. Nymphs do not have wings, but older nymphs have wing-like pads.
