No, most dramatically there has been a movement of the continents over time. The position of the
continents could dramatically alter the water flow patterns, and therefore the precipitation patterns. In
addition, crustal plate interactions would have resulted in the creation of mountain ranges (and erosion
their slow decay), which would alter how far moisture-laden air could travel over the continents.
