Given the overall fact situation, the post-implementation evaluation to assess the quality of the new system probably should be performed by the Personal Trainer associates themselves. Key users on Grey Lewis’s staff should be represented on the evaluation team. Users, managers, and IT staff would be involved in the post-implementation process. Techniques would include observation, interviews, questionnaires, sampling, and examination of the maintenance log or journal. Specific examples might include the following: Interview members of management and users; observe users and computer operators; examine source documents, reports, and system schedules; develop questionnaires to get feedback from users; analyze maintenance and help desk logs and journals; and provide for comments and/or suggestions for future use.
